| In remembrance of Assistant Chief Josh Wuertz - some words from GMFC members -
"Let us not forget - on this day in 2008 we laid to rest one of the most respected members to walk through the door at GMFC. Joshua D. Wuertz was a dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, and a true friend to all who knew him. He touched many lives through the years as a firefighter and police officer in the communities he served." - FF Jeff Frommeyer
"Josh was an outstanding Firefighter and Police Officer and we have many fond memories of him and his years that he graced our presence. It is still hard to fathom that he was taken at such a young age and that he battled Leukemia off and on since he was in the 4th grade. Many of our newer members did not have the opportunity to know Josh. Many times he would be fighting a fire or responding to an accident scene just days after being in the hospital.
