The day began at 0908 hrs with station 48 and LAD49 being dispatched to the Devereux Shrader Cottage on Devereux Rd in Wallace Twp for the automatic fire alarm. At 0913 hrs CHF48 arrived on the scene and had a moderate smoke condition inside the building and the assignment was upgraded. The upgraded assignment added the balance of station 49, 47, ENG73, ENG35, AMB144, AMB891, MIC871 and MED93. CHF48 then established Devereux Command. CHF49 arrived and established Devereux CP and advised 2 hand lines had been pulled and they were searching the building looking for the source. After searching the whole building it was confirmed that a washing machine had burned the belt and the motor creating the smoke condition inside the building, with that report the assignment was scaled back to 48 and ENG495. Units cleared at 1012 hrs.

At 1445 hrs station 49 and ENG48 were dispatched to the unit block of Navajo La in West Brandywine Twp for the automatic fire alarm. AST49 arrived on scene with nothing showing. After further investigation it was determined to be a malfunctioning oil burner and the assignment was held to ENG491. ENG485 was clear at 1507 hrs.

At 1740 hrs station 49 and ENG48 were dispatched to the 500 blk of Dilworth Rd in East Brandywine Twp for the automatic fire alarm. ENG491 arrived on the scene and held the response to 49 units, ENG485 was clear at 1753 hrs.

To round off the day at 1955 hrs station 49, ENG48, RES45, AMB144 and MED93 were dispatched to the 100 blk of Dowling Forge Rd in East Brandywine Twp for the auto accident with entrapment. The 911 center recived calls of a 1 vehicle accident with 1 trapped. At 1958 hrs the PD arrived and confirmed that the subject had crawled out of the vehicle and was not trapped. AST49 arrived on scene and established Dowling Forge Command reporting 1 down in the roadway with facial injuries. PECO was contacted through the 911 center for the pole that had been struck and was fractured at the bottom. The subject was transported to Paoli Memorial Hospital Trauma Center, RES48 cleared at 2024 hrs.
