At 6:51 am Station 48 was dispatched along with Twin Valley(69), Elverson - Honey Brook EMS(89), and Brandywine Hospital Medic 93 for a subject trapped in an elevated hunting tree stand. Deputy 48(Seese) arrived on the scene to find a male hanging from his tree stand, approximately 25 feet up the tree. Barenston Road Command was established and a scene assessment was started.

As apparatus and additional personnel started arriving, the initial scene assessment was completed and it became apparent more resources were needed. Command was transferred to Chief 48(King) and East Brandywine (49) was requested to the scene for the ladder truck along with Rescue 69.

Station 48 crews gained access to the patient and started the process of securing the subject to the tree, preventing the potential of further injury. Once secured, the same crew began the tedious process of removing the subject via harnessing and a controlled decent. After about an hour and a half the patient was lowered and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The Glen Moore Fire Company would like to thanks all agencies involved.

Units: Command 48, Squad 48, Engine 48-1, Engine 48-5 Rescue 48

Thanks for all your hard work everyone and for rescuing my grandfather. I couldn't possibly imagine how it might've turned out if not for your help.
