Glen Moore Fire Company was dispatched at 4:03am to assist Sta 47 (Lionville) for a building at the Eagle Tavern. The Fire was largely contained to the rear kitchen area with some extension and heavy smoke conditions throughout. 48-1 personnel were assigned RIT detail and stood ready. At 5:25am, with a good knock down by 47 and 73 firefighters and overhaul underway Station 47 was alerted for another House Fire on the edge of their territory with Station 61 Kimberton and 5 East Whiteland. Since Engine 48-1 and 48-5 were not committed to the Eagle tavern incident we were released to cover the call for 47.
While enroute the responding personnel were advised the fire was a outbuilding to the home with flames encroaching on the residence. A smoke header was also visible from distance.
Engine 61 layed in to the drive and began attack operations. The recently dedicated 48-1 staged on the hardroad and sent manpower to assist Engine 61 while 48-5 picked up the LDH at the end of the driveway. A quick attack on the somewhat persistant fire netted results in about 10 minutes.
