The Glen Moore Fire Company has been very fortunate over the years to have a strong junior firefighter program. One of our current junior firefighters, Mason Seibert, recently completed his Eagle Scout project and dedicated it to the fire company.

Mason chose to build a forcible entry door training prop so that the firefighters at GMFC can train on gaining entry into residences and buildings in emergency situations. For the project, Mason had to seek out monetary and material donations; design the prop; and then ultimately build the prop. Overall, Mason spent over 370 hours on this project.

On Wednesday evening, he delivered the training prop to the firehouse. Mason reviewed the prop and how it operates. Members had the opportunity to explore the prop and then the training began! The firefighters spent the evening practicing forcible entry techniques using a variety of tools.

The Glen Moore Fire Company wants to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Mason on the completion of this project and taking the next step to becoming an Eagle Scout. We also want to send him a huge THANK YOU for providing us with such a valuable training tool. Training props like this can cost over $7000 so your hard work and contribution is greatly appreciated.

We want to thank everyone in the community who made donations to this project. Your generosity helped make this project a success.

The Glen Moore Fire Company also wants to thank Melcar Underground for their generous donation of the steel used for the prop and for allowing Mason to use a variety of their specialty tools to build the prop. We are excited to call you a "Friend of the Firehouse."
