Glen Moore Fire Company, November 26
On the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving, crews gathered for their weekly training. Training focused on hose line deployment. Crews were split up into teams and competed against each other for time. Crews needed to deploy the 1 3/4" hose line, mask up, advance the hose line, and flow water at a specific target. Weekend Calls and Early Morning Building Fire

The volunteers at the Glen Moore Fire Company were dispatched for several calls this weekend. On Saturday morning at 5:24am, the company was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm in Wallace Township. There was no emergency and the company was quickly placed back in service. Weekly Training - Hose line Operations
Glen Moore Fire Company, November 16
Crews gathered on Wednesday evening for their weekly training. This week’s training focused on the deployment of hose lines and hose line management.
Crews deployed 1 ¾ inch hose lines into a simulated building fire. Most 1 ¾ inch hose lines are 200 feet; however, the hose line needed to be extended to reach the fire room. Crews use the high-risk pack to add additional lengths of hose.

On Wednesday evening, crews gathered for their weekly training. This week's topic was Pet Emergencies and Pet CPR.
Firefighter/EMT and Veterinarian Mary McCabe led the training. FF/EMT McCabe reviewed common emergencies that affect humans and pets as well as their differences. Weekly Training - Engine Company Operations - Part 2

On Wednesday evening, crews continued training on engine company operations. Skills from last week were reinforced during the training. These included laying the supply line, deploying the 1 3/4" hose line, and forcing entry. During the scenarios, however, crews were faced with additional challenges such as fire on multiple floors and rescuing victims.
