House Explosion in Valley Twp.

Dispatched @ 11:56a crews from Glen Moore Fire company assisted Westwood Fire Company. Initial dispatch came is as a dwelling fire, but shortly after Westwood Deputy 44 "Randy Scott" arrived he found that home had undergone an explosion. Crews immediately went into service to make sure the home was unoccupied.

Battalion 44 Chief John Sly assumed "Operations" and mitigated the hazards while crews conducted a search of the rubble.
Once homeowner contact was made and deemed no one was home or in the home at the time of the explosion crews were released and the scene was turned over to the Chester County Fire Marshals.
