On Wednesday evening, the Glen Moore Fire Company hosted its annual fire prevention Open House. The weather was beautiful and we had a great turnout. Several hundred people attended the event and enjoyed fire truck rides, kitchen safety demonstrations, a simulated smoke environment, arts and crafts, snacks, and meeting some of the men and women of the 48 house. The children had the opportunity to try on the gear and use an actual fire hose! “Smokey the Bear” even made an appearance! The evening was capped off with a live fire demonstration where everyone got to see their Glen Moore Firefighters in action.
The Glen Moore Fire Company would like to thank Westwood Ambulance and the PA Forestry Service for attending the event. We also want to thank Belfor for donating the lumber to build the demonstration house.
Lastly, the Glen Moore Fire Company would like to thank the community for their ongoing and unwavering support. We are always there for you and we thank you for being there for us! |
