On Friday 10/20/2023, the Glen Moore Fire Company was dispatched for two calls. The first call in the morning was for an automatic fire alarm at a personal care facility in the township. Crews responded and were alerted that the alarm was the result of a culinary mishap. Crews checked the alarm system and then cleared the scene.

Later, in the early afternoon, crews were dispatched for a gas leak. A resident had returned home to discover that the gas stove was accidentally left on. The resident smartly opened a window to ventilate the house then called 9-1-1. Crews arrived and checked the residence with the appropriate gas meter. Readings were normal and after ensuring ventilation, crews cleared and returned to the station.
