Crews gathered on Wednesday evening for their weekly training. This week’s training focused on the deployment of hose lines and hose line management.
Crews deployed 1 ¾ inch hose lines into a simulated building fire. Most 1 ¾ inch hose lines are 200 feet; however, the hose line needed to be extended to reach the fire room. Crews use the high-risk pack to add additional lengths of hose.
Once inside the building, crews then practiced techniques for managing and moving the hose lines through the building.
The Glen Moore Fire Company is 100% volunteer. We are always looking for new members. Please come check us out on any Wednesday night. There are so many ways to volunteer and support your community.
