The volunteers at the Glen Moore Fire Company were dispatched for several calls this weekend. On Saturday morning at 5:24am, the company was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm in Wallace Township. There was no emergency and the company was quickly placed back in service. On Sunday Morning at 4:53am, Engine 48-5 was dispatched as part of the tanker task force to assist Station 46 (Minquas Fire Company) with a fire in an apartment building. Engine 48-5 was recalled enroute and returned to the station. Later, on Sunday evening, Engine 48-5 and Brush 48 responded to assist Station 49 (East Brandywine Fire Company) with a brush fire in Lyndell. Units arrived at the scene but no services were needed.
On Monday morning at 3:22am, Station 48 was dispatched to assist Station 47 (Lionville Fire Company) with the building fire in Upper Uwchlan Township. Engine 48-5 made the response and assisted with water supply, fire extinguishment, roof operations, and overhaul. Crews were in service for 3 1/2 hours before clearing the scene and returning to the station.
