On Friday evening 04/26 at around 5:55pm, the Glen Moore Fire Company was dispatched to assist Station 62 (Ridge Fire Company) with a large woods fire in South Coventry Township. Multiple fire companies from Chester County assisted with the operation including the Pennsylvania Forest Fire Warden's Association District 17 crew.

The crew from GMFC joined with firefighters from Ludwig's Corner Fire Company (Station 73) to reinforce the fire perimeter line and douse hot spots. Crews later joined up with members from the District 17 crew to cut trees and extinguish any remaining fire. Crews from GMFC operated for about 3 1/2 hours before being released.
