| On Friday, April, 26th, 2013 the Glen Moore Fire Company received notification from through the Federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program that we were selected to receive federal funding .The Grant, in the amount of $42,305, will allow the fire company to purchase new portable hydraulic rescue equipment.
Our current hydraulic equipment has been in service 23 years. Our new system will provide us with the capability to use six tools, where our current system is only a two tool system. These additional resources will enhance our rescue services and bring us up to speed in today's fire service.
The funding for this updated and more user friendly equipment will allow us to continue to provide high quality rescue services to our community as well as neighboring communities. It will also enable our rescuers to maximize their efforts on the rescue scene.
