Glen Moore Fire Company
QRS Division

The Glen Moore Fire Company provides Emergency Medical Services in the form of a Quick Response Service (QRS) to our coverage area. A QRS is a Pennsylvania Department of Health certified unit that typically does not transport services. The QRS unit uses EMS providers to respond to medical calls and provide care to patients either before an ambulance arrives or in conjunction with personnel from the ambulance.
The GMFC QRS unit is staffed by our own volunteers who are trained as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Our QRS unit is a 2007 Chevy Tahoe and carries all the necessary and mandated equipment to provide care. This includes but is not limited to: oxygen, AED, backboards, collars, suction unit, etc…Our goal is to initiate patient care, conduct assessment, stabilize/treat the patient, and assist ambulance crews with further treatment.
Currently, our QRS unit works in conjunction with the following ambulance companies: Westwood Fire Company Ambulance; Elverson-Honey Brook Ambulance; and Uwchlan Ambulance.
We are always looking for new members and more EMTs. If you are interested in joining the fire company but don’t want to fight fire then consider joining the Glen Moore Fire Company as an EMT and provide the much needed medical services to your community.
Stop by the station on any Wednesday evening at 7:00pm and check us out or give us a call.
