| It is with great sadness the Glen Moore Fire Company has learned of the passing of Past Fire Chief Thomas W. Reber. Chief Reber dedicated a large part of his life to serving his country and his community. He served in the United State Army during the Korean War and was a life member of the Glen Moore Fire Company joining in 1954. He held the rank of Fire Chief from 1964 to 1965 and again in 1977 to 1978.
During his tenure as Chief three vehicles were placed into service. The first a 1964 GMC Hahn with a 750 GPM Hale Pump. The other two, a 1977 Car-Mar pumper tanker with 3000 gallons of water and 1977 Chevrolet Brush Truck. Both were housed in June of 1977.
Chief Reber's dad, Frank Reber, was a founding member of the Glen Moore Fire Company. Without a doubt, he was proud of his son's dedication and service to his country and community.
The Glen Moore Fire Company would like extend our deepest sympathy to the Reber family.
