| At 1158 hrs stations 48 and 49 were dispached to the 200 block of Barneston Rd in Wallace Twp for the chimney fire. The caller stated the chimney was on fire and they were not evacuating the house. AST49 arrived on scene with smoke from the chimney, after a quick investigation it was found to be that there was fire extension into the walls around the chimney area. With that report CHF48 (King) requested that the response be upgraded to the dwelling. The upgrade added the balance of 49, 73 for 2 engines, RES47 for RIT, and AMB144. At this time CHF49 assumed Barneston Rd Command. ENG481 arrived and pulled a 1 3/4 attack line, LAD49 arrived and put the stick to the chimney, ENG495 arrived and supplied ENG481. With the quick work of the 48 and 49 units in opening up the walls and the extinguishment of the fire extension the upgrade units were returned with the exception of AMB144. The fire was placed under control at 1229 hrs with additional overhaul and cleaning of the debris from the chimney being conducted. At 1641 hrs station 48 fire police were dispatched out to Chestnut Tree Rd north of Lippitt Rd in West Nantmeal Twp to assist the State Police with traffic control at a property damage accident. Units arrived to find a 1 vehicle acident with the road blocked by drifting snow from the recent snow fall and high winds. Penn Dot was contacted to respond out with a plow to clear the roadway. 48 units cleared at 1734 hrs. **SQD48 CHF48**
Ending the day at 1814 hrs station 49, ENG48 and AMB46 were dispatched to Rte 322 east of Hopewell Rd in East Brandywine Twp for the auto accident. The 911 center received calls of a 2 vehicle accident partially blocking the roadway. AST49 arrived on the scene with minor injuries and ENG481 was returned while enroute at 1819 hrs. **ENG481** |
