At 1151 hrs station 48 and AMB89 were dispatched to the PA Turnpike west bound at the Peter J Camiel Service Plaza for the 1 vehicle accident reported to to be 1 vehicle into the embankment. CHF48 arrived on scene at 1202 hrs and confirmed the report. After further investigation by CHF48 it was determined to be property damage, ENG481 and AMB891 were recalled.
At 1648 hrs stations 48, 49, AMB89 and MED93 were dispatched to Little Conestoga Rd east of Millard Rd in West Nantmeal Twp for the accident with entrapment. The 911 center received calls for 1 vehicle overturned with 3 subjects still inside the vehicle. AMB891 arrived on the scene and advised all units to use caution due to very icy road conditions. ENG481 arrived and CHF48 established Little Conestoga Rd Command advising 1 vehicle on its side with 3 subjects confined. The 48 and 49 crews went to work with the 1st extrication completed at at 1712 hrs followed by the next 2 at 1716 hrs. All 3 subjects were transported BLS to a local hospital. Fire units cleared at 1738 hrs.
