Even though the Glen Moore Fire Company website seems slow sometimes with news articles, you can bet that the volunteers are still very busy handling all kinds of different calls for service. For example: QRS calls, with no ambulance stationed at the fire house the fire company still provides a QRS (Quick Response Service) to the townhip residents in a medical emergency. Along with G4 training drills every Wednesday night and meeting night on every 2nd Monday of the month makes it a busy station.
All of this is being done by "VOLUNTEERS"! Which means no member is getting paid, every member volunteers their time away from their families, every member has missed a dinner or two, had to leave a family function or even during a Christmas dinner to volunteer to answer the call for service. If you think you have what it takes to volunteer then come on down on a Wednesday night (drill night), or the 2nd Monday of the month (general meeting) and pick up an application. If you don't live in the area how about helping out your local volunteer fire company.
