| The day started off at 1208 hrs when stations 49, 38, ENG76, ENG485, ENG and AMB46 and RES47 (RIT) were dispatched to the 100 block of Zynn Rd in East Brandywine Twp for the dwelling. A passer-by had reported a mulch fire with possible extension into the siding of the dwelling. 47-50 (QRS Captain) arrived on scene and reported it under control, CHF49 arrived on scene and held the response to the 49 units.
Right after the recall from the dwelling fire ENG485 was dispatched at 1232 hrs to relocate to station 33 (Honeybrook Fire Co) while their units were operating on a dwelling fire in West Caln Twp assisting station 35 (Wagontown Fire Co). This fire was a tragic one with 3 fatalities and the crew from ENG485 knew they were in for a long day. At 1634 hrs ENG485 was released from station 33 and was redirected to station 35 for the relocate, ENG485 arrived at 35 at 1701 hrs.
At 1757 hrs ENG485 was dispatched along with TAC35 to the 1500 block of Birdell Rd in West Caln Twp for the tree fire. Units arrived on scene with a tree fire as well as some brush. TAC35 went into service and ENG485 supplied the TAC with water, the fire was under control at 1816 hrs. 35 and 48 units returned to station 35 at 1835 hrs.
As the 35 units were returning to the station the crew from ENG485 assisted 35 in getting the apparatus, hose and equipment back in to service. At 2017 hrs the next one was hit to assist station 49 on the fire alarm in the 400 block of Mercer Dr in East Brandywine Twp. ENG485 made the response from station 35 at 2020 hrs. CHF49 then recalled the assingment at 2026 hrs. |
