At 1934 hrs stations 48 AMB89 and MED93 were dispatched to the unit block of Shaw Dr in Wallace Twp for the search. CHF48 was contacted prior to the dispatch by the 911 center in reference to assisting the State Police with a search of a subject that had walked off the campus and was a known diabetic. CHF48 arrived and established Command and requested ATVs from station 49 (East Brandywine), 69 (Twin Valley) and 44 (Westwood). The 911 center was contacted to have the Chester County Sheriff Department respond out with the K-9's to assist in tracking, as well as having the 911's communication vehicle (COM1) respond to assist with communications. COM1 arrived and after set up took the CP (Command Post) while CHF48 still had the Command. A bit later 2 Chester County Sheriff dogs arrived and were put right to work on a trail in the woods that the subject was last seen going into. 9 minutes later after the K-9 had a track, a passer by going down Rte 282 near Devereux Rd spotted a subject matching the description of the missing individual. The passer by called the 911 center and stated that the subject was limping and holding his arm as if he was injured. 2 State Troopers as well as employees from the complex responded to the location and found the missing subject. He was transported back into the complex where he was then handed off to AMB89 and MED93 for transport. Fire units cleared at 2249 hrs. Thank you to East Brandywine, Twin Valley and Westwood for their assistance as well as the County and Sate Agencies.
