This evening the volunteers from the house of 48 saddled up and made their way down to the Wallace Twp building for the first of many vehicle rescue refresher training nights. This evening started out with stabilization of a vehicle on its side. The crews led off with the Junkyard Dog Rescue Struts and stabilized the vehicle on both sides, in the front and in the back. After that the vehicle was put back down on all 4 wheels and the crews then went over other forms of stabilization. With this the crews utilized box cribbing with wedges as well as step cribbing. Three quarters of the way through training the Rescue Pumper was dispatched at 2019 hrs to assist station 49 at Little Washington Rd and Evergreen Dr in East Brandywine Twp for the auto accident. ENG481 cleared that assignment at 2040 hrs.
