At 0725 hrs Station 48, ENG49, AMB144 and MIC87 were dispatched to Little Conestoga Rd west of Fairview Rd in Wallace Twp for the auto accident with entrapment. The 911 center received calls of a 2 vehicle accident with 1 subject trapped. ENG481 marked up with 5 along with CHF48 and was on the street at 0730 hrs. ENG481 arrived on scene at 0733 hrs and reported a 2 vehicle accident with 1 confirmed trapped. ENG481's crew went in service with a rapid extrication due to the seriousness of the injuries. ENG485 arrived at 0736 hrs along with ENG49 at 0742 hrs, both crews assisted ENG481 with the extrication. DEP69 (Brooks) was in the area and assisted on scene by taking Little Conestoga Rd CMD in ENG481. Also at that time a 2nd Medic Unit was requested and MED93 was added to the assignment. Even with the quick response from the stations involved along with the rapid extrication, the operator of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries. AMB144 and MED931 transported the other operator to the local trauma center. Little Conestoga Rd reopened at 0957 hrs after the State Police finished their investigation, at that time ENG481 cleared the scene.
