| On Saturday evening, the members of Glen Moore Fire Company took a well deserved night off to celebrate our accomplishments of 2011 at the annual Fire Company Banquet. The banquet is organized by Desiree Seese and has been at Hershey's Mill Golf Club in West Chester for the past three years. Approximately 80 people attended the banquet including active crew, families, neighboring chiefs, and local elected officials. This year the fire company also provided a bus from Krapf's to transport members from the station to the event.
Chaplain Hicks provided the prayer, followed by a welcome from President Scott Welker and then everyone enjoyed an excellent buffet dinner and desserts. After dinner, Chief Jeff Seese and Captain Mark Ferrari presented the annual awards for 2011. Dancing concluded the evening with DJ Mark Hayford keeping the crowd energized. GMFC is very appreciative for our active crew and this banquet is a special tribute to current and former members. Special Thanks to Desiree Seese for again making this event one to remember!
Engine 31-1 from Sadsburyville Fire Company provided Stand by assistance at Station 48 so our members could enjoy themselves at the banquet. Thank you to Chief Grossman for providing a crew for the standby. |
