| On Wednesday evening, Glen Moore Fire Company members took some time to go back to School. The topic was Air Monitoring and involved a refresher of our Multi-gas Detection meters that we carry on the Rescue and Engine. With many calls today involving chemicals, it is important to conduct Air Monitoring. This is especially true on Hazardous Materials incidents and spills.
These meters are very helpful in the measurement of 4 particular gases including Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Sulfur Dioxide, and Hydrogren Sulfide.
The Glen Moore Fire Company partners with the Bucks County Community College division of Public Safety to help deliver current fire, rescue, and haz mat training for our members. Special thanks to Bucks County Haz Mat Team Deputy Chief James Kettler for providing the instruction and making the trip down from Doylestown. |
