Training continued for the volunteers at GMFC on Wednesday evening. This week’s drill focused on water supply, specifically connecting to a fire hydrant. Captain J.R. Phillips reviewed the components of a fire hydrant for the newer members and then demonstrated how to connect the large diameter hose to the hydrant. Crews then had a chance to practice connecting to the hydrant and supplying Engine 48-1 as it put the master stream into service.
During training, the EMT’s from GMFC responded to a medical call in Wallace Township.
