| On Saturday evening, the members of the Glen Moore Fire Company took some time off from training and responding to participate in the annual “Battle of the Badges” flag football game. The Glen Moore Fire Company along with the Lionville Fire Company, Ludwig’s Corner Fire Company, and West Whiteland Fire Company represented the fire service against several police departments from Chester County and Montgomery County. Police departments from Chester County included West Vincent PD, Upper Uwchlan PD, Uwchlan PD, and West Whiteland PD.
It was a great night for football under the stars. The game was a closely fought battle but ultimately the police departments won by a score of 49-0. (Ouch!)
The game was played for a great reason this year. All proceeds from the game were donated to the family of an Upper Merion Township (Montgomery County, PA) police officer who tragically lost his life over the summer. We would like to thank the sponsors including Belfor, CMG Landscaping, Servpro, and Bio-One. We would also like to thank the Marsh Creek Eagles Football & Cheer club for allowing us to use their field. |
