On July 4th, Glen Moore Fire Company members spent a good portion of the day supporting Good Neighbor Day festivities in Downingtown. The day started before 7am with Squad 48 standing by for the annual 5k run. Later in the morning through early afternoon, Rescue 48 stood by at the Canoe Race on the East Branch of the Brandywine. Beginning at 6pm, Engine 48-1 stood by just west of the festivities on Creek Road during the fireworks and to handle any calls in the eastern section of the borough.
We had 12 members participate in the various activities throughout the day. Only 1 call for service back in Glen Moore was received yesterday which helped the remaining members spend the day with their families enjoying the Hot Weather.
