| Under the direction of EMS Captain Keith Kenna, GMFC's newest QRS responders were put through realistic training to prepare them for QRS calls. Firefighter/First Responder Craig Muller and Firefighter/First Responder Chuck Shenberger reviewed EMS equipment on Squad 48, MDC operations, radio operations, and were thrown into a simulated trauma call involving a patient with multiple injuries and an underlying medical condition. The patient was placed in a difficult area for the QRS responders to work in order to make the scenario both more realistic and more challenging. Cadet Firefighter Rob Esposito played the part of the patient.
Firefighters Muller and Shenberger had a lot thrown at them and excelled at their tasks. They are well on their way to becoming primary QRS responders.
