On Saturday, November 3rd, Glen Moore Fire Company and East Brandywine Fire Company held a joint live burn session at the West Chester Fire Training Center. Glen Moore and East Brandywine crews worked through many scenarios and rotated crews through fire attack, search and rescue, RIT, and command functions.
This drill is not only a testament to the solid working relationship among our two companies, but to the dedication of each company's volunteers. Many of these crew members left their families behind to staff their firehouses and respond to calls during Hurricane Sandy earlier in the week and now gave much of their Saturday to exercise and hone their firefighting skills.
Thanks to all who attended this challenging and beneficial training, to the stokers who set up the scanarios, and to Honeybrook Fire Co for standing by in our station and covering our community while we trained.
