At 20:08 hours on Monday April 21, 2014,the Glen Moore Fire Company(48), along with East Brandywine(49), Ludwig's Corner(73), and Lionville Fire Companies, were dispatched to a dwelling fire in the 200 block of Kathleen Way in the Donomore Farms Section of East Nantmeal Township.

Chief 48(Seese) arrived in four minutes to find a two story colonial with heavy fire in the garage. Chief 48 called for three additional tankers immediately due to the lack of fire hydrants in the area. This brought tankers from Lionville, Twin Valley(69), and Honey Brook(33)

Engine 73 laid the supply line into the fire scene from Donomore Drive. Glen Moore and Ludwig's Corner crews stretched two attack lines into the dwelling, one line going to the first floor, and one to the second floor. Upon the arrival of additional crews, a back up line was stretched into the dwelling to support crews attacking the fire.

While lines were going into position Ladder 49(East Brandywine) threw ground ladders, started vertical ventilation on the roof, and supported interior crews with fire suppression and overhaul. Lionville crews performed Rapid Intervention duties and interior suppression and overhaul duties as well.

Crews on location well into the night with extensive overhaul.

The fire is under investigation by the Chester County and State Police Fire Marshal's Offices.
