On the evening of May 17 at approximately 20:43 hours the members of GMFC were dispatched to the unit block of Barneston Rd for the reported house fire. Chief 48 arrived on location at 20:47 with nothing showing and established Barneston Rd command. Engine 48-5 went en route at 20:50 with a crew of 6. 48-5 arrived and stretched a 1 inch and 3/4 line to the rear of the structure because of a smoldering spot on the porch. The fire was extinguished on the rear porch and 48 crews went in service checking for extension of the fire through the house. The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the fire. 48 crews cleared the scene at 22:03 hours and returned available shortly after.
